I remember when chokers were all the rage. All my friends had them and everyone wanted one. That was years ago, but as history repeats itself they have returned in full force! For some time now I have been on a search for the perfect choker, but sadly have not found it. Instead I decided to make my own! I wanted to show you all how I did it so that you can make your own too! Lets get into it:
You will need:
Wrap the leather string around your neck to find the right length. I wrapped it around 3 times and left a little excess on both ends (approximately 3-4 inches). Cut your string to your desired length. Take the crimp beads and push the leather string into the opening of the bead. Use the long-nose pliers to pinch the bead closed overtop of the leather string. I used 2 beads on each end about 1 centimeter apart but you can use however many you like. Repeat this on the other end of the leather string and WALLA your choker is complete! I’m not much for very bright or extravagant jewelry so the simplicity of the leather with the gold beads is perfect! I hope you give it a try and let me know what you think!
